What We Do
Our love for animals has always been strong. In 2017, we began responding to the needs of stray cats in our community. Providing food, water, shelter and medical care led to a larger mission. That passion for helping cats became Cat Tales.
Our Mission
At Cat Tales – A Cat Sanctuary, our mission is to provide compassionate, lifelong care to colony cats while creating opportunities for socialization and adoption for those ready to thrive in a home environment. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming adoptable cats, while offering a safe, enriching, and loving sanctuary for those who cannot be placed. Through education, advocacy, and hands-on care, we strive to protect the dignity and well-being of every cat, ensuring they live with comfort, respect, and joy—whether in a forever home or with us at the sanctuary.
Cat Tales provides care for colony and feral cats who are best suited to a free-roam environment. For this reason, we do not accept cat surrenders. House cats typically do not do well in our setting, and we want every cat to be placed where they can truly thrive.
*Feral: Wild and wary. Avoids humans. Thrives in free-roam spaces - cannot be a house cat.
*Semi-Feral: Curious, but cautious. Some interaction possible. Needs safe, managed care.
*House Cat: Friendly and socialized. Lives indoors. Enjoys and needs human contact.
